Tom ends small talk with Mr. Asher about the spiritual box on the revelatory field with the stream and trees and song echoing the way songs do in a majestic mysterious place. He opens the door. 

Agnes tables her tea and says, “The attorney may take the work of resilience as substitute for the legal fee.”

Tom thinks aloud more than asking her. “Will that do?”

Now minus seven days the door opened vice-versa of Tom’s entrance. Two officers of peace disrupted peace in the name of weaponized care instigated by authority protected by intelligence unable or unwilling to exercise justice, reason enough for Tom to touch the brick base of a lamp passed by enough for memorized familiarity but not enough to forgo tactile regard.

Tom looks at abstraction that reads like oil on canvas because that’s what it is and shall be until its material declines with age if not for reversal of process, and if that be why not witness finality become Genesis? High minded or reason to laugh? Not a laugh, just a smile, and a smile not enough for Agnes to ask what’s amusing. She sips tea again.

Even with light throughout the room, Tom rotates the electric switch twice more than once, settling on a third as if three is steadfast or grounded for the fulfillment of illumination, light moving faster than the switched rotation can realize, but at a pace seen by spirited flesh unless a wave of darkness consume visibility and continued rays cease their greeting, such ceasing so far unknown. As for now, what about the instigation?
